Voice Lesson FAQS

Q: I’m struggling to sing the right notes. Is it possible to learn how to sing in tune?

A: Yes! In almost all cases, learning how to match pitch goes hand-in-hand with learning how the voice works best. Our team specializes in pitch matching and has helped many singers learn to match pitch with confidence.

Q: Singing in front of others scares me. Is there a way I can learn how to sing in front of an audience?

A: Yes! Our team specializes in helping singers with performance anxiety learn to sing with self-trust and confidence.

Q: Is it better for me to take private lessons or join a group voice class?

If you’ve never taken voice lessons before and want to learn the basics, group voice class will be the perfect fit for you. If you have specific goals as a singer such as preparing for an upcoming audition or learning how to match pitch, private lessons will be the best fit.

Q: Do group classes run throughout the year?

Group classes run from the fall to the spring. Check out our lessons page for more information on upcoming group classes.

Q: How long is it going to take for me to see progress in my singing?

A: Long-lasting growth comes from consistent and intentional practice outside of lessons. With regular practice outside of lessons, students should experience positive changes in their voice within the first week.

Q: Are voice lessons right for me if I don’t know how to read sheet music?

A: Absolutely! Learning to read sheet music is a skill we teach and is not required in order to take voice lessons.
